STEPHANIE PEARL WAHLERS was born August 31, 1981, at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, Nebraska.  She passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011, as a result of injuries she suffered in a fire at her home in Fremont, Nebraska, at the age of 29 years.

Stephanie graduated from Tekamah–Herman High School. Her life-long career goal was in nursing.  She was an Emergency Medical Technician and CNA. Stephanie was employed at Arbor Manor in Fremont and Good Samaritan Home in Scribner.

She was preceded in death by her aunt, Karen Chudomelka and cousins, Jason and Alice Chudomelka.

Survivors include her parents-grandparents, Daisy and Pete Stork of Tekamah; mother, Cindy Wahlers, sister, Alicia Wahlers and brother, Ignacio Serna all of Fulton, Missouri; niece, Daisha Herndon also of Fulton Missouri; aunts, Diane Wahlers and Robert Litel and family of Tekamah, Tarie and Bob Surls and family of Tekamah, Sharon Marr and Rob Chase and family of Tekamah; cousin, Molly White of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandfather, Rudy Wahlers and family of Sioux city, Iowa.

Stephanie will be sadly missed by her friends and family.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, April 7, 2011, 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Tekamah, Nebraska.

VISITATION: Wednesday, April 6, 2011, 4 - 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 - 8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah

BURIAL: Tekamah Cemetery, Tekamah, Nebraska
