WANDA JEAN VILLWOK, 78 years of Fremont, Nebraska, formerly of rural Craig, Nebraska, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012, at her home in Fremont surrounded by her family. Wanda was born March 4, 1933, in Walthill, Nebraska, to Clair and Gayle (Garner) Carlson. Wanda was raised in Craig, Nebraska and graduated from Craig High School in 1950. She married Lyle Villwok on June 21, 1952. To this union eight children were born. They farmed near Elkhorn, Nebraska. In 1968 they moved to the Uehling-Craig area where they continued farming until 2004. After the death of Lyle, she moved to Fremont. Wanda was baptized at the Craig Methodist Church on June 10, 1934. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church in rural Hooper, Nebraska. Most important to Wanda was her family. She also enjoyed being a school bus driver, painting ceramics, collecting antiques, traveling, and enjoyed decorating her home with the changing of the seasons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; parents, brothers, Rodney & Terry Carlson; and great granddaughter, Liberty Lee Turner. She is survived by her eight children, Leslie Welker (Larry Hancock) of Fremont, Diane (Robert) Hart of Gardner, KS, David (Diane) Villwok of Craig, Lynn Villwok (Teresa Dicavolo) of Scurry, TX, Carol (Harold) Kolb of Ashland, NE, Calvin (Chris) Villwok of Arlington, NE, Judy (Brad) Frandsen of Lincoln, NE, Lois (Dave) Hansen of Sargent, NE; eighteen grandchildren, Jennifer Welker (Jessie Smith), Jeffrey Welker, Korey (Christy) Hart, Kelly (Brett) Turner, Chad (Beverly) Villwok, Greg (Malinda) Villwok, Ryan (Nikki) Villwok, Katie (Bob) Stanton, Chase Villwok, Cody Villwok, Craig Moseman, Garrett (Amanda) Villwok, Tyler (Jessica) Villwok, Neleigh and Emily Frandsen, Austin, Dane and Kylie Hansen; sixteen great grandchildren, Savannah, Collin and Alexis Welker, Dylan and Tyler Hart, Aspen, Cheyenne and Savannah Turner, Mason, MaKenna and Karlie Villwok, Addison and Cadein Villwok, Oliver Stanton, Kinzi Villwok and Lillian Villwok; brothers, Dennis Carlson of Fremont and James Carlson of San Diego, CA. FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, January 31, 2012, 10:30 a.m. at Elim Lutheran Church in rural Hooper, Nebraska. VISITATION: Monday, January 30, 2012 from 1 to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 – 8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation Tuesday will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. BURIAL: Craig Cemetery, Craig, Nebraska MEMORIALS: To the Family for Odyssey Hospice and the National Parkinson Foundation.
