DEBORAH LEE (UPDIKE) TRICE was born March 17, 1965, in Oakland, Nebraska, to Donald and Helen (Gaver) Updike. She passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 at her residence in South Sioux City, Nebraska at the age of 44 years.

Debbie was baptized and confirmed into the Bethany Lutheran Church in Lyons, and attended Lyons-Decatur Northeast High School.

Debbie was very artistic and enjoyed several crafts including scrapbooking and painting.  Debbie also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  In the past Debbie also enjoyed horseback riding with her friend Connie.  As a child Debbie was on a swim team and won several awards. 

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Donald Updike and her grandparents.

Survivors include her motherand step father, Helen and Jerry Hohenstein of Craig, Nebraska; brother, Duane Updike and family of Lewis, Iowa; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and David Schild of Lyons, Nebraska; sons, Joey Updike of Lyons, Blaine Hoyt of Omaha Nebraska, Talon Trice of Sioux City, Iowa; granddaughters, Alexia and Keira Schild of Lyons; grandson, David Schild JR. of Lyons.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church Lyons, Nebraska.
