Clarence A. Teeters

1928 ~ 2008

 

CLARENCE ABNER TEETERS was born May 13, 1928 in Dalton, Nebraska to Wilson and Gertrude (Uehling) Teeters. He passed away Friday, February 15, 2008 at his residence in Decatur, Nebraska after a long battle with cancer.

In his early years, his family moved to Burt County where he grew up and remained for the rest of his life.

On May 6, 1948, Clarence and Charlotte (Woten) were married at Riverside Baptist Church, between Decatur and Tekamah on highway 75. To this union four children were born, two boys: Carroll and Darrell, and two girls: Barbara and Laura.

Clarence loved animals and trained many horses. He worked as a farmer and later for farmers in the area for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Darrell; sister: Wilma Letheby; grandson: Keith Smith.

He leaves to mourn, his wife of 59 1/2 years: Charlotte of Decatur; son: Carroll of Decatur; daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and Jim Nicola, Laura and Dwain Castor all of Decatur; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law: Clara and Loren Woten of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Ethel Phillips of Lyons, Nebraska; many friends, relatives, and his horse, Molly.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, February 19th, 2008, 2:30 pm at the City-Legion Hall in Decatur, Nebraska.

VISITATION: Monday, February 18th, 2008, 1 - 8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Visitation will also be held Tuesday at the Hall one hour prior to the service.

BURIAL: Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, Nebraska
