CHRIS LESLIE STRONG was born April 23, 1960, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Gary and Judith (Davis) Strong. He passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011, at his home in Norfolk, Nebraska, at the age of 50 years.

The family moved to Tekamah, Nebraska, in 1972. Chris was baptized at the First United Methodist Church in Omaha and confirmed at the Tekamah United Methodist Church. He graduated from Tekamah-Herman High School in 1978 and attended Northeast Community College.

Chris was a craftsman talented artist and loved to fish.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; uncle, Donald Strong and aunt, Nancy Dobberthien.

Survivors include his parents, Gary and Fran Strong of Tekamah,  Judy Larson of Norfolk; grandfather, Bill Davis; sister, Teresa (Mark) Strong-Hilger of Omaha; brother, Gary (Sol) Strong II of Midwest City, Oklahoma; sister, Tammy (Tim) Van Meeteren of Sioux Center, Iowa; brothers, Wayne (Kim) Sterns of Butte Montana, Brian (Lisa) Sterns of Norfolk; great aunt, Doris Moss of Sioux City, Iowa; nieces, nephews, and an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, February, 26, 2011, 10:30 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Tekamah, Nebraska.

BURIAL: Tekamah Cemetery
