ROSEMARY E. (HANNON) SPENCER, 87 years of New York City, New York, formerly of Herman, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in New York City.

Rosemary was born November 20, 1920, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Leo J., Sr. & Madeleine (Olsen) Hannon.

Dearly beloved by family and friends.  Recognized by the U.S. Department of State for 45 years of distinguished service, including over 30 years as Protocol Officer at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations.  The U.S. Representatives with whom she served included Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., Adlai E. Stevenson, George H.W. Bush, and Jeane J. Kirkpatrick.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, September 6, 2008, 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Blair, Nebraska.
