ROBERT A. "MYRNA" SPARKS, was born on March 15, 1959, in Oakland, Nebraska, to Robert and Marilyn (Stillman) Sparks. He passed away Friday, August 19, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa, after a short battle with acute myelocytic leukemia, at the age of 52 years.

Robert went to Decatur Public School. He worked at Morrison Quirk, Inc. as a Chopper Operator for 12 years.

On August 26, 1989, Robert and Cindy (Schwedhelm) were united in marriage in Decatur, Nebraska. They made their home in Lyons.

Robert loved to hunt, fish, camp and spend time with his grandchildren. He also loved hanging out with his family & friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Sparks; infant son, Cody Sparks and step-father, Delmar Kinning.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy; his daughter, Angela and David Whitley; his son, Robert Jr.;  three grandchildren, Daven, Ashlynn, and Alizabeth, all of Lyons; his mother, Marilyn Kinning; sisters, Shirley Sparks and Donnie Greve, Barb and Roger Phillips, all of Decatur; Marlene and Tim Graham, of Lyons and many nieces and nephews.
 
He will be deeply missed by all his family & many friends.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, August 22, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Lyons.

VISITATION: Monday, August 22, 2011, Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Lyons

BURIAL: Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, Nebraska
