BETTY LOU CLARK ROSENBOOM was born May 21, 1930 at rural Ashland, Nebraska the daughter of William Otto and Eula Mae (Wilson) Clark. She passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in West Point, Nebraska at the age of 78 years. Betty grew up in the Wann-Ashland area. She was baptized at the First Christian Church in Ashland at the age of 12. Betty graduated from Ashland High School in 1947. On June 18, 1948, Betty was united in marriage to Glen Lyn Rosenboom at Papillion, Nebraska. To this union three children were born: Linda, Cheryl and Greg. They lived in Ashland several years before moving to Oakland, where they were engaged in farming. Betty started working for the Oakland Independent in 1960 and continued until August 2003. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen on June 26, 1989. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Dave Kindschuh of West Point, Nebraska, Cheryl and Dan Ziska of Atkinson, Nebraska; son and daughter-in-law: Greg and Debbie Rosenboom of Oakland; ten grandchildren: Scott Kindschuh of West Point, Stacey (David) Fanciullo of Ralston, Nebraska, Angela (Scott) Coe of Smyrna, Tennessee, Connie Kindschuh of Omaha, Nebraska, Brian Ziska of Columbus, Nebraska, April (Lee) Winchester of Gretna, Nebraska, Mary Ziska and her fiancé, Brian Kile of Omaha, Molly Balzer of Oakland; Kelsey Rosenboom of Omaha, Zachary Rosenboom of Fremont; four great grandchildren: Jake Fanciullo, Brett Coe, Charlie Balzer and Carter “Tater” Rosenboom; brother and sister-in-law: William and Rae Ann Clark of San Jose, California; sister: Judy Van Arsdale of Ashland; nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, December 15, 2008, 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Oakland, Nebraska. VISITATION: Sunday, December 14, 2008 1 - 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 - 8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Oakland.
