LOIS JUNE ROBINSON was born June 4, 1933, at Tekamah, Nebraska, to Darius and Nora (Giles) Payne. She passed away Monday, December 5, 2011, at her home in Tekamah, at the age of 78 years. Lois was educated in the Tekamah Public Schools, graduating from Tekamah High School in 1951. She worked as an aide for the school system for a number of years. On June 4, 1952, Lois and Donald Robinson were united in marriage at Tekamah. Three children were born to this union: Lynn, Wayne and LaDonna. They lived farmed north of Tekamah until 1999 when they moved into Tekamah. Lois was a member of the Tekamah United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. In 1997, Don and Lois received the Ak-sar-ben Good Neighbor Award and in 2008, Lois was again honored with the award. Lois volunteered at the Burt County Museum and American Cancer Society selling daffodils. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald on September 4, 2003; three brothers, Charles, Carl and Elwood Payne and three sisters, Elsie Crom, Opal Crom and Norma Muhs. Survivors include her sons, Lynn (Debbie) Robinson of Ocala, FL, Wayne (Annette) Robinson of Howells, NE; daughter, LaDonna Hoeper ( Kevin Arnold) of Maurepas, LA; two grandsons, Matthew (Kim) Robinson of Ocala, FL, Jesse Robinson of Columbus, NE; two granddaughters, Jennie (Kyle) Litz of Genoa, NE; Mandy (Jason) Anderson of Newman Grove, NE; five great grandchildren, Parker and Ian Litz, Emma Lynn and Preston Robinson, Tabi Jordan; sisters, Mary Anne Olson of Forest Grove, OR. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Thursday, December 8, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Tekamah. Rev. Philip Sloat, officiating.
