JOYCE E. RICHARDSON, 81 years, of Lyons, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011, at the NE Medical Center, University Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

Joyce was born December 17, 1929, in Lyons, Nebraska, to Vernon and  Christine  (McKenzie) Cates.  She grew up on a farm near Lyons and graduated from Lyons High School. 

She joins her beloved late husband, Earl Richardson, who passed away October 2004.   

She was very active in her church, First Presbyterian  in Lyons as a Deacon, Church Elder, Presbyterian women’s organization, mariners and was a member of the Eastern Star  She was always helping by donating her time with cooking and baking for community events.

Joyce is survived by her three children, Dennis Marine of Vacaville, California, Duane Marine of Lyons, and Kristie (Marine)  Lindholm of Lincoln, Nebraska; five grandchildren; Barbara, Michelle (spouse, Robert), Adam, Mandy and Nichole (spouse, William); eight great grandchildren; Katie, Macey, Nicholas, Samuel, Izibel, Myranda, Ezra, Taylor and great-great grandson; Nash.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, September 2, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Lyons.
