JUNE MARIE RENSHAW was born June 28, 1927, to Walter Emil and Minnie Blanche (Olsen) Hemmingsen in Tekamah, Nebraska.  She passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, after battling colon cancer and lung-related health issues, at the age of 83.
 
June resided in Tekamah her entire life, receiving her education at country school and graduating from Tekamah High School in 1944.
 
She worked as a local telephone operator until the birth of her first child.
 
On December 22, 1950, June and Russell Renshaw were united in marriage in Papillion, Nebraska.
 
June loved to make hand-crafted items, and sold her creations at area craft shows for over 35 years. She enjoyed sewing, reading and raising flowers. Her favorite activity was having coffee and visiting in her home with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Russell; brother, Walt Hemmingsen, and grandson, Aaron Rasmussen.

Survivors include her son; Mark and daughter-in-law, Beth; three daughters, Joni Renshaw, Jan (Mrs. Dick) Rasmussen, Annette (Mrs. Michael) Tomasiewicz; brother, Paul Hemmingsen all of Tekamah; sister, Margaret Smith of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, December 10, 2010, 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Tekamah .

VISITATION: Thursday, 1 - 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 - 7 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Visitation Friday will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
