ETHEL MAE PHILLIPS was born April 7, 1926 at Dalton, Nebraska, the daughter of Wilson and Gertrude (Uehling) Teeters. She passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the Logan Valley Manor in Lyons, Nebraska, at the age of 84 years.

Ethel married Glen Charles Phillips on February 26, 1946, in Tekamah, Nebraska. Ethel and Glen had two sons, James and Roger. Ethel enjoyed visiting with friends and cooking. She also loved her grandkids and watching them grow. Her favorite saying was Oh By Golly!

Ethel was a member of the United Methodist Church in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; son, James; mother, Gertrude Cooper; father, Wilson Teeters; sister, Wilma Letheby and brother, Clarence Teeters.
 
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Barbara of Decatur, daughter-in-law, Lavonne Phillips of Tekamah; five grandchildren, Becky, Katie, Kyle, and Molly of Decatur, Jeremy of Ohio; great granddaughter, Hailey Savannah Sparks of Blair, Nebraska; sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Loren Woten of South Sioux City, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Charlotte Teeters of Decatur; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, August 25, 2010, 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Decatur.

VISITATION: Tuesday, August 24, 2010, 1 - 8 p.m. with the family Receiving friends from 5 - 7 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Visitation Wednesday will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.

BURIAL: Rosehill Cemetery, Pender, Nebraska.
