MARGARET L. PETERSON, 93 years, of rural Oakland, Nebraska, joined her beloved husband, Roy, in the arms of the Lord on November 3, 2010. 

Margaret loved the farm that she and Roy worked since they were married in 1936.  While Roy was alive, she enjoyed raising her chickens, and never wanted for fresh eggs or fresh chicken on Sunday after church.   She was a true life partner for Roy, and together they faced – and overcame – the challenges of family farming.  Margaret was known to all as having a ready cup of coffee to share, along with freshly baked cookies.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, her church, and her community. 

Margaret is survived by her son, Gale, daughter-in-law Sandy, and her three granddaughters, Stephanie, Megan and Susan, all of San Antonio, Texas. 

FUNERAL SERVICE:  Saturday, November 6, 2010, 10:30 a.m. at Salem Covenant Church in rural Oakland, Nebraska.

VISITATION: Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church

INTERMENT:  Salem Cemetery
