JOEY JOYCE (DIMMICK) ANDERSON MARYOTT was born July 12, 1933, at Walthill, Nebraska, to Doug and Ruby (Farber) Dimmick. She passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at her home in Decatur, at the age of 77 years. Joey lived her early childhood in Decatur. She attended Decatur schools through the 9th grade and completed her education at Macy, Nebraska. On November 19,, 1949, she was united in marriage to Floyd Anderson. To this union three sons were born Jerry, Jim and Jeff. The family made their home in the Decatur area for a short time, later moving to Omaha, Nebraska. Joey worked at a plastic factory for 15 years. She then worked in the animal health field for another 15 years while in Omaha. On May 11, 1996, she married Ned Maryott. They made their home in Britton, South Dakota for six years. In 2001, they moved to Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Floyd; three sisters, Christa, Una and Icis; two brothers, Jack and Lynn. Survivors include her husband, Ned of Decatur; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Jody Anderson, Jim and Mary Anderson, Jeff and Viki Anderson all of Omaha, David Maryott of Aberdeen, South Dakota; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dean (Denise) Maryott of Arizona; sister-in-law, Jan Huffman of Decatur; very special friend, Janey Seymour; two very special cousins, Pat Connealy and Edna Hightree. FUNERAL MASS: Saturday, January 22, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Decatur. VISITATION: The family will receive friends Friday, 4 - 8 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service all at Holy Family Catholic Church in Decatur. Visitation Saturday will also be held at the church.. BURIAL: Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur MEMORIALS: Decatur American Legion Post No. 215 and Holy Family Catholic Church
