Vivian V. Kraemer

1919 ~ 2011

 

VIVIAN VIOLA (VINDERSLEV) KRAEMER, 91 years, of Virginia, formerly of Herman and Oakland, Nebraska, passed away on February 24, 2011.Vivian was born October 10, 1919, in Herman, Nebraska, to Chris and Ida Vinderslev. She lived on the family farm with 12 brothers and sisters.  Vivian graduated from Blair High School and couple of years later married A.C. Kraemer on June 1, 1940.  Vivian spent about ten years as a farmer's wife until a farming accident in 1951 when they had to change occupations.  Vivian and A.C. leased a small motel in Missouri and ultimately built and operated two motels in Tekamah, NE and Oakland, NE.  She lived in Oakland for 30 years before moving to Virginia to be close to family.
 
Vivian was predeceased by two sons, Keith and Larry Kraemer.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dean G. and Carolyn Kraemer of Smithfield, VA; daughter-in-law, Kristine Kraemer of Longmont, CO; 2 grandchildren, Randy Kraemer and wife, Audrey, and Gene Ritter; sister, Darlene Dodge of Omaha, NE; brother, Chris Vinderslev, Jr. of Friend, NE; numerous nieces and nephews.
 

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, March 12, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Herman Community Church in Herman, Nebraska.
