MARY ELLEN (CROM) HEUGEL, 80 years, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center, in Piedmont, MO. She was born in Tekamah, NE, to the late Elmer Crom and the late Cordie (Grey) Crom. Mary grew up in Tekamah and graduated high school there.

Mary was united in marriage to Melvin Jack Eppenbaugh in September of 1948, of this union there were six children, and he preceded her in death.

Mary was united in marriage to Kenneth May in April of 1962, of this union there was one child born. Mary then married Donald Lowe in July of 1986. In 1995 Mary was united in marriage to Jewel Heugel of Piedmont, MO, he preceded her in death.

Mary was a 20 year member of the Bible Way Full Gospel Church, of Piedmont, MO. She was a very active member of AARP, and Eastern Star, in Piedmont, MO. Mary worked and retired from Mutual of Omaha in 1991, and moved to Piedmont, MO where she spent the last 20 years.

Survivors include, three sons, Rick Eppenbaugh of Bellevue, NE, Richard Eppenbaugh, of Omaha, NE, and Chris May of Solon, IA; three daughters, Jackie York, of Omaha,  Cheryl Radford, of Piedmont, MO, and Lynne Eppenbaugh, of Omaha,; sister, Dorothy Magill, of Tekamah;  15 grandchildren, with lots of great-grandchildren.
 
Mary was preceded in death by her parents;  two husbands, one son, Steven Eppenbaugh;  five brothers, Lester Crom, Roy Crom, Jim Crom, Ernest Crom, and Clarence Crom; five sisters, May, Clara, Gladys, Edith and Ruth.

SERVICES: Memorial Gathering with the family will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with a  Memorial Service following at 12:00 Noon all at  Pelan Funeral Home, in Tekamah, Nebraska.
