Lynette grew up and attended school in Wall Lake, Iowa. In 1951, she married Glenn Heaton at Ponca, Nebraska. She married Thomas Hayworth in 1970 in Elk Point, South Dakota. Lynette lived and worked in Sioux City, Iowa, Rosalie and Lyons, Nebraska. Especially memorable were the years living in the Greenville area of Sioux City and the many special friends she had in Lyons for the past 39 years. Lynette was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lyons. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom; brothers and sisters, Clark, Corrine, Cornella, Clarence and Betty. Survivors include her sister, Cleo Pauley of Lyons; son, Rick Heaton of Quimby, Iowa; daughters, Bonnie (Danny) Saxen of Pierson, Iowa, Deborah Lass of Omaha, Nebraska, Barbara (Doug) George of Lyons, Dori Zessin of Omaha; stepchildren, Karen (Ted) Mammen of Correctionville, Iowa, Lorna (Randy) Dunkleberger of Hartley, Iowa, Lois Ouellette of Sioux City, Kenny (Marie) Hayworth of Correctionville; 21 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, September 4, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lyons. MEMORIAL GATHERING: Thursday, 6 - 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends at Pelan Funeral Home in Lyons. PRIVATE FAMILY BURIAL AT A LATER DATE MEMORIALS:To the Family or Donor's Choice
