JONI FAY HAWKINS NOVAK was born May 16, 1959, in Blair, Nebraska, to Clarence “Tom” and Joan (Anderson) Hawkins. She passed away Saturday, January 2, 2010, at her residence in Craig, Nebraska, at the age of 50 years.

Joni grew up in Walthill, Nebraska. She married Paul Novak on June 26, 1976. They made their home in Lyons, Tekamah and Craig area.
           
Joni loved her grandchildren, her dog, Scooby, her flower garden and cookie jar collection.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Joan Hawkins; grandparents, Lawrence and Lorraine Anderson and Harold and Ileta Hawkins; father-in-law, Louis Novak.

Survivors include her husband, Paul; son, Jason of Craig; two daughters, MeLinda (Matt) Osmera of Bellevue, Nebraska, Erika (Mat) Pickell of Craig; five grandchildren, Payton and Preston Novak, Gaspare Osmera, Shelby and Morgan Pickell; brother, Barry Hawkins of Walthill; mother-in-law, Joyce Novak and sister-in-law, Wanda Novak of Fremont, Nebraska; aunts, uncles and cousins.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: (RESCHEDULED) Monday, January 11, 2010, 10:30 a.m. at the Craig Gymnasium.
