RONALD LEE GOURLEY was born July 6, 1941 in Webster County, Missouri. He passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009, at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 67 years.

Ron served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1965. He was an over-the-road truck driver with Schulz Transportation.

Ron loved kids and playing darts.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother: Lansford; sister: Elsie Roth, brothers-in-law: Tommy Glen and Roland Uhing.

Survivors include his daughters: Janice (Chris) Groth and Cynthia McPherson (fiancé, Mike Richards) all of Nebraska City, Nebraska; brothers: Wayne (Tootie), Dave (Renee) Gourley all of  Fremont, Nebraska; Jim (Ruthie) Gourley of Kenesaw, Nebraska; sisters: Patsy (Larry Nelsen) of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Shirley (Loy) Nissen of Oakland, Jo Uhing of Tekamah, Nebraska, Sharon Glen of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren: Cody and Austin Groth, Kylie & Bryanne Simonson all of Nebraska City.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, April 10, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Oakland, Nebraska.

BURIAL: Oakland Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Post No. 46 and Ryan VFW Post No. 5543.
