RICHARD ALLAN GIBBS “RICK” was born June 4, 1956 in Oakland, Nebraska to Dick and Edith (Holm) Gibbs. He passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009, at the Nebraska Medical Center/Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 53 years.
                Rick attended school in Tekamah, graduating in 1974.
                He married Melanie Flock on March 6, 1982. To this union two daughters were born: Jessica and Amber.
                Rick worked on a farm near Uehling, Nebraska. He and his family later moved to Colorado, Kansas and returned to Nebraska. Rick enjoyed farming but his main desire was to work with tools and being a mechanic. He was employed by Honeyman Rental of Omaha at the time of his death.
                Rick enjoyed fishing, baseball, softball and having a grand time with friends. His constant companion was his dog, T.J.
                He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Dick.
                Survivors include his daughters, Jessica (Travis) Zimmerman of Garden City, Kansas, Amber Gibbs of Dodge City, Kansas; mother, Edith Gibbs of Tekamah; sister, Sharon (Bob) Wimer also of Tekamah; brother, Mike Gibbs of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado; two grandchildren, Caeden and Adyson Zimmerman; aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Monday, June 29, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah.

BURIAL: Craig Cemetery, Craig, Nebraska.
