WAYNE ROBERT FERGUSON was born March 27, 1947, in Decatur, Nebraska, to Alfred E. and Doris E. (Johnson) Ferguson. He passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009, at the Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska, at the age of 62 years.

Wayne attended school in Decatur.

He served in the U. S. Army from May 1967 to May 1969 and December 2, 1970 to May 16, 1972.

In 1985, Wayne married Sharron Wallers. They had one daughter, Andrea.

Wayne enjoyed country music and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred and sister, Janice Wilson.

Survivors include his daughter, Andrea (Jason) Faulkner of Virginia; stepdaughter, Lori (Ben) Miller of Blair, Nebraska; step grandchildren, Carter and Xander; mother, Doris of Lyons; sister, Kathryn Morrow of Decatur; brother, Larry (Helen) Ferguson of Gypsum, Colorado; many nieces, nephews and friends.

  FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, October 20, 2009, 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ Decatur Restoration Branch, Decatur, Nebraska.

BURIAL: Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur Nebraska, with Military Honors by the VFW Gleason-Rogers Post No. 6926 and American Legion Rogers-Crum Post No. 215

VISITATION: Monday, October 19,  6 - 8 pm with family receiving friends at the funeral home in Lyons.
