IDA JANE “BILLIE” DOUGLAS was born March 3, 1922, in Springfield, Missouri, to John and Nanny (Keeble) Kirkup. She passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in Tekamah, at the age of 88 years.

On October 3, 1940, Ida and Wilbert “Bud” Douglas were united in marriage at Springfield, Missouri. Following Bud’s discharge from the service in 1946, they moved to his hometown of Tekamah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud; daughter, Charlotte; brother, Vernon and sisters, Isabelle and Frances.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Tubbs of Kansas City, Missouri; granddaughters, Mary Moore of Kansas City, Missouri, Michelle Tillman of Archie, Missouri and Shannon Ross of Alverton, Ohio; 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Thursday, February 10, 2011, 10:30 a.m. Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah.
