LLOYD L. CHUDOMELKA, 86 years of Oakland, Nebraska, formerly of rural Tekamah, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010, at the Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont, Nebraska.

Lloyd was born June 21, 1924, in Dodge, Nebraska, to Rudolph L. and Mary E. (Podany) Chudomelka.

Lloyd served in the U. S. Navy from November 1943 to April 15, 1946.

He married Vernetta Jean Lahmann and was a farmer. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vernetta; son, Wayne, daughter-in-law, Karen Chudomelka; grandchildren, Jason and Alice Chudomelka and brother, Rudy Chudomelka.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Jo Ann Carman of Omaha, Wanda Chudomelka of Springfield, Missouri, Anna and Bourbon Weber of Panama, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sisters, Roma Mostek of Columbus, Nebraska, Mary Ann Svitak of Howells, Nebraska; nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL MASS: Saturday, October 23, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lyons, Nebraska.

MILITARY HONORS VFW Bataan Post No. 3304 and American Legion LaFrenz Post No. 15 will be held at the church.

BURIAL: At a later date in the Dodge Cemetery.
