CHARLES W. CASTOR, "CHARLIE", 76 years, of Decatur, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Charles was born July 10, 1935, in Decatur, Nebraska, to Wilbert and Ruth (Christopher) Castor.

On August 15, 1966, Charles married Karen S. Hinkle at the United Methodist Church in Walthill, Nebraska. They later moved to Decatur.

They have been member of the United Methodist Church in Decatur since December 12, 1999.

Charles loved gardening, fishing and hunting. He loved to play bingo at the Sear’s Center. He was a happy-go-lucky guy and tried to help anyone he could.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Helen Eddie and Marilyn Webster; brothers, Kenneth, Fred, Melbourne and Dwain Edwin Castor.

Survivors include his wife Karen of Decatur; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Doug Orth and two grandchildren, Ashlee and Bron all of Farmington, Minnesota; brothers, Joe  of Mississippi, Lester  of Onawa, Iowa , Gene  of Decatur; sisters, Connie Newton of Florida, Luella Hoggatt of Mississippi, Harriet (Donald) Peterson of Bellevue, Nebraska.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, October 22, 2011, 2:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Decatur, NE

PRAYER SERVICE: Friday, October 21, 2011, 7:00 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah.
