LILLIE MAE (PHILLIPS) BUCK was born on February 8, 1926 in Lyons, Nebraska, to George and Dollie (Newill) Phillips. She passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at the Oakland Mercy Hospital in Oakland, Nebraska, at the age of 84 years.

She attended school and graduated from Lyons High School in 1943.

On March 30, 1946, Lillie married Albert Buck in Elk City, Nebraska.  To this 34-year union three children were born:  Ronald Dale, Glenda Rae and James Phillip.

She lived most of her adult life in Rosalie before retiring to Lyons in 1998. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and talking on the phone with family and friends. She looked forward to her Thursday outings with her children.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Dollie Phillips; son, Ronald Buck Sr.; granddaughter, Shannon Grashorn; great grandson, Jacob Buck; brother, Robert Phillips; sister, Shirley Maxine and brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Eden.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Mike Grashorn of rural Rosalie; son and daughter-in-law, James and Terri Buck of Lyons; daughter-in-law, Sharon Buck of West Point; three sisters and brother-in-laws, Roberta Hoagland of Lincoln, Lavonne and Joyce Sanders of Wahoo, Barbara Eden of Norfolk;  brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Roxanne Phillips of Fremont; sister-in-law Bobbie Phillips of Fremont; 8 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, April 24, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Rosalie, Nebraska.

VISITATION: Friday, April 23rd from 5 - 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 - 8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Lyons.

BURIAL: Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, Nebraska
