GERALD NATHAN BOWMAN, 82 years, formerly of Omaha, NE

Gerald Nathan Bowman was born September 19, 1929, in Decatur, Nebraska, the fifth of nine children born to William and Hazel (Buck) Bowman. He passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in Tekamah, Nebraska, at the age of 82 years.

Gerald attended school in Decatur. He served in the Army during Korean War.

Gerald lived in Omaha the majority of his life. He worked predominately as a landscaper throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, and repairing lawn mowers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald and Kenneth and sisters, Bonnie, Goldie.

He is survived by his son, Jackie Dale Bowman and wife, Wanda of West Plains, MO; four grandchildren, Sherry Dawn Bowman of West Plains, MO, James Cody Bowman of Columbia, MO, Zackery and Noah Jones of West Plains, MO; step grandchild, Jacque Carrell and husband, Ronnie; sister, Rosemary Leonard and husband, Ronald of Mt. Juliet, TN; brother, Roy Bowman and wife, Teresa of Oakland, NE; many nieces, nephews; great- nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Will be held at a later date

BURIAL: Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur Nebraska
