EUNICE PEARL BOWDEN was born to Earl and Ruby (Gustin) Robinson April 9, 1914, in Dalton, Nebraska. She passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Tekamah, at the age of 95 years. On May 24, 1930, Eunice married Darald (D. B.) Bowden in Fremont, Nebraska. To this union four children were born: Dorothy, Ruby, Dick and Bonnie. Eunice was a busy homemaker. She became a Girls Scout Leader, transported kindergartners, raised canaries and parakeets, enjoyed molding poured pottery for bible school and of course in her later years, babysitting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Evelyn Crom and Arla Crannel; and son-in-law, Clarence York. Survivors include her three daughters, Dorothy and James Fleischman of Craig, Nebraska, Bonnie Bruhn and Ruby York both of Arlington, Nebraska; son, Dick and Jan Bowden of Glenwood, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, September 23, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Tekamah. VISITATION: Tuesday, September 22, 2009, 5 - 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 - 7 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah.
