Kenyon R. Barber

1932 ~ 2009

KENYON RANSOM BARBER, 76 years, of Centertown, Missouri, formerly of Tekamah, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009, at the Jefferson City Nursing Home in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Kenyon was born June 25, 1932, in Tekamah, Nebraska, to Charles E and Irene L. (Ransom) Barber. A graduate of Tekamah High School, Kenyon served in the U. S. Marines during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954.

Kenyon was employed in commercial construction an iron worker and crane operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Gary Stewart.

Survivors include his son: Kenyon R. Barber of Tekamah; stepson: R. Duane Belk of Centertown, Missouri, stepdaughter: Jodi S. Polly of Versailles, Missouri; brothers: Jack R. Stewart of Rice Lake, Wisconsin and Larry Jackson of Tekamah.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, February 20, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Duncan Nichol

BURIAL: Tekamah Cemetery with Military Honors by VFW Bataan Post No. 3304 and American Legion LaFrenz Post No. 15
