GRACE ARDITH ANDERSON was born February 15, 1911, in Nance County, Nebraska, to Berton and Clara (Eisenhauer) Imus of Belgrade, Nebraska. She passed away Monday, December 20, 2010, at the Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa, at the age of 99 years.

Grace attended rural grade school and graduated from Genoa High School, Genoa, Nebraska, in 1930.  She taught rural school for one term.

On March 11, 1931, Grace and Wallace E. Anderson were united in marriage at York, Nebraska. To this union two sons were born, Eugene and Leon. They farmed in Burt, Nance and Platte counties. In February 1967, they moved to Columbus, Nebraska, where Grace worked in food preparation at the Nursing Home, retiring in 1981. She returned to Decatur in June 1981.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wallace (April 22, 1971); son, Leon; great grandson, Nicholas; three brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors include her son, Eugene of Wyoming; eight grandchildren, Richard “Andy” (Amy) Anderson of Vermont, Lysle (Trena) Anderson and Dwayne Anderson of Wyoming, Deleta (Jerry Jr.) Huffman of Onawa, Leon (Tammy) Anderson of Tekamah, Lance (Jackie) Anderson of Decatur, Deann (Joe) Farrens and Layne Anderson of Onawa; seventeen great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, December 23, 2010, 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Decatur.

VISITATION: Wednesday, December 22, 2010, 4 - 8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah, Nebraska.

BURIAL: Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur.
