Jerry Dean Anderson was born October 5, 1942 in Sioux City, Iowa to Jerome and Lois (Nelson) Anderson. He passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at his home in Lyons, Nebraska, at the age of 67.

Jerry attended school at Divide Center, Bertha School, and graduated from Lyons High School in 1960.

On August 4, 1962 he married Charleen Browning at Holy Cross Church in Bancroft, Nebraska.  To this union two children were born; Kim and Kevin. They lived in Lyons throughout their marriage. 

Jerry was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lyons.  He was also an honorary member of the Lyons Fire Department.  He was employed as a carpenter for 32 years, and was recently employed at Blue Ox Manufacturing in Pender, NE for nine years.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father-in-law, John Browning, Jr.; sister-in-law, Wanda Krumwiede; nephew, Steven Connealy; and niece, Heidi Browning.

Survivors include his parents, Jerome and Lois Anderson of Lyons; wife: Charleen of Lyons; daughter Kim Hayes of Lyons; son: Kevin Anderson of Bancroft, Nebraska; brother Carol;  sister Leila Keiper and Tressa Wagner, all of Arizona; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL MASS: Saturday, October 31, 2009, 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lyons, Nebraska

BURIAL: Lyons Cemetery, Lyons Nebraska

VISITATION:Friday, 4 - 7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lyons. Saturday visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church
