EVONNE CORINNE ANDERSON was born to Joseph and Fern (Landholm) Forks on April 22, 1936, in West Point, Nebraska. She passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009, at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha at the age of 73 years. When she was a young child, her family moved to California. They returned to Nebraska when she was in the second grade. She graduated from West Point High School in 1954. Evonne married Andrew Lee Anderson on September 25, 1954. During their early years of marriage, they lived in the Rosalie-Bancroft area. They settled on a farm northwest of Rosalie, where they lived until Lee passed away in 1980. Evonne then moved to Lyons, Nebraska, where she met and then married Ron Anderson on September 8, 1990. Evonne was the mother of three children: Gary, Alan and Lisa. She was a homemaker, avid gardener, animal lover and enjoyed time with family and friends. On the farm she also raised Malamutes, Cocker Spaniels, Schnauzers, Chinchillas, and all the strays that her children brought home. She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God in Lyons, where she was an active member and past trustee. Evonne was also a member of Chapter CX, P.E.O. since 1986 and served in the office of president as well as holding other offices. She enjoyed playing bridge with several different groups. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lee. Survivors include her husband: Ron of Lyons; brother: Ed (Vivian) Forks of Oakland, NE; two sisters-in-law: Marilyn (Harold) Rink, Janice (Curtis) Weborg all of Pender, NE; daughter: Lisa (Terry) Bargmann of Sergeant Bluff, IA; sons: Gary (Rhonda) Anderson, Alan (Sheryl) Anderson all of Rosalie, NE; eleven grandchildren Marissa Bargmann (fiancé Ronnie Merchant), Alyssa and Mariah Bargmann, Jeremy and Kalene Anderson, Matt (Casey) Anderson, Martin Anderson (fiancée Shellie Nelsen), Whitney Anderson, Mike (RyAnn) Pagels, Matt Pagels, Mandy (Jason) Deckler; nine great grandchildren and dogs: Sammy and JD. FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, May 4, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at the New Life Assembly of God in Lyons. VISITATION: Sunday 1 - 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 4 - 7 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Lyons and Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. BURIAL: Bancroft Cemetery, Bancroft, Nebraska
