TRINA SYLVIA ALLISON was born to Jens and Inger (Andersen) Christiansen on January 3, 1911, at their home in Kennard, Nebraska. Trina passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2009, at the Oakland Heights Nursing Home in Oakland, Nebraska at the age of 98 years and 11 months. Trina grew up in the Kennard area, graduating from Arlington High School in 1928. On January 30, 1929, she was married to Orville Ray Allison in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They moved to Tekamah, Nebraska, in 1941 shortly after starting an electrical business. Trina was a woman with a wonderful sense of humor and took pride in her family. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, and a member of many of the card clubs in Tekamah. She continued to play her favorite card game of Bridge well into her nineties. She also loved animals, nature, crafts such as crocheting and embroidery, and tending to her flower gardens. Trina is preceded in death by her parents, Jens and Inger Christiansen; husband, Orville; brothers, Walt and Vernon Christiansen; son, Donald Allison and daughter-in-law, Marva Allison. Survivors include: son, Allyn Allison of Sioux City, Iowa; daughter, Betty Ann Bryant of Glendale Arizona, daughter-in-law, Joyce Allison of Tekamah; sister, Marie Desler of Omaha Nebraska; 4 grandchildren, Angie (Noel) Petersen of Herman; Dan (Calista) Allison of Tekamah; Vicky Hegg of Redwing, MN; and Tammy Allison of Tekamah; seven great grand-children and one great-great grandchild.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah. BURIAL: Tekamah Cemetery VISITATION: Monday 1- 8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Visitation Tuesday will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS: The First Presbyterian Church of Tekamah and the Tekamah Fire Department.
