KATHIE LEE (METZLER) ALEXANDER, 60 years, of Omaha, Nebraska, was born April 29, 1949, in Omaha, to Charles Addison and Olive Viola (Beaty) Metzler. She passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, following a long illness.

Kathie graduated from Benson High School in 1967. She was employed with the Omaha Public Schools for 28 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Randy Lee Metzler of Minnesota.

Survivors include her son, Derek Alexander of Omaha; brothers, Charles Metzler and family of Bellevue, Nebraska, Lee Metzler and family of La Vista, Nebraska; granddaughter, Brianne of Omaha; many nephews; great nephew and great niece, relatives and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, February 24, 2010, 12 Noon at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
