DOROTHY M. AHBOLTIN was born March 14, 1917, at Winner, South Dakota, to Fred and Maude (Mayhew) Leonard. She passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Tekamah, Nebraska, at the age of 91 years.

Dorothy graduated from Winner High School, Winner, South Dakota.

On August 21, 1939, she married John Ahboltin. Following their marriage, they lived in California until 1944, when they moved to a farm near Tekamah. In 1961, they moved into Tekamah.

Dorothy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tekamah and the United Methodist Women.  After working at the Plaindealer for a number of years, they enjoyed traveling, reading and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John and son, Keith.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Marjorie and Ron Quick of Cottage Grove, Oregon; three grandsons: Donald and wife, Irene, Michael, Kelly and wife, Angele; four great grandsons: Devon, Andrew, Alex and Kyle.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Tuesday, January 20, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Tekamah.
